  You have stumbled through this dark forest, brambles tearing at your clothing, for what seems like hours. Now you find the grove... the moss is soft and deep, the stars overhead are bright as diamonds caught in a rippling wave of velvet. And then you hear the singing... soft and strange, the tune haunting, the words unknown to you. As you peer through the darkness, you see the singer, a woman...

• Who is the Muse?

  the Lady Darkling Elytis, Marquise of West Speirling Isle, Banshee of Tanglewood. Irish, slightly mad, pale of skin, hair like a long curling purple cloud, eyes like sparkling midnight jewels. Older than she looks. Dressed as a lady of the Victorian era... on her way to a funeral, or an All Hallow's Eve ball.
